Leialoha with her first lei for May Day!

Aloha!

This is a picture of my beautiful new granddaughter Leialoha for whom the flower "Sweet Baby" was named. In Hawaiʻi, many people make, give, and/or wear special lei on May Day. Since we are in Los Angeles and I donʻt have access to other lei making blossoms, I made Leialohaʻs first lei out of miniature rose blossoms!

Had we been home in Hawaiʻi, I *might* have made her first lei out of closed hibiscus buds.

Leialoha and her big cousin Kalei (age 10) are definitely my best hybrids!
